exact

注意口语里面经常使用exact来加强语气，一般可翻译为“正是，就是”建议背诵第二个句子。

in a dark place

In  a dark place 既可以指身处黑暗的地方又可以指身处麻烦或绝境之中，也可以表示状态颓废。【例如】《绝望主妇》中一句台词：I was in a very dark place, with thedrinking and my friends abandoning me .我状态很差，酗酒,朋友们离开了我。

keep it in a  dark and damp place.放在阴暗湿冷的地方。

misery loves company

Misery loves company 这句话的英文解释为：Fellow sufferers make unhappiness easier to bear,as in she secretly hoped her friend would fail too-misery loves company.

在《gossip girl》中也出现过“they say miser loves company, but sometimes it's the company that makes you miserable "俗话说福祸相伴，但有时陪伴会让你更惨。

as much as

在这里 as much as 不再是像……一样多，而是表示“虽然一边的理由如此多，但是另一边的理由也一样多。”【例如】As much as I hate to do it, I must stayhome and finish my paper. 尽管我讨厌这样做，但我还是必须呆在家里，把论文写出来。/ As much as he hated his adversary, he could admit that he was theright candidate to challenge the establishment. 他尽管讨厌他的对手，但他也承认，对方是个向建制挑战的合适的候选人。有时候开头的as可以省去。【例如】I can't leave you here. Much as I'd like to. 我不能把你留在这里。尽管我很想这样。

【补充：】

1、as much as 还可以表示“一边的程度之高，同另一边一样”、"无异于”、”简直是“

【例如】he as much as  admitted it 他实际上已经承认了。

2、as much as +主语+can do "所能做的差不多都做了“、”几乎技穷“ ”险些做不到“【例如】”我简直没有办法让他停止嚎哭 “ 可以翻译为 it was as much as I could do just to stopher crying .

fabulous

Fabulous:

1.extremely     good or impressiv 极好的; 绝妙的;

【SYN】wonderful

《摩登家庭》I'm more fixated on that fabulous robe 我对这件华美的浴袍感兴趣。

那个房间可以看到美丽的湖景。

2.[only before noun] very large in amount or size 巨额的; 巨大的;

【SYN】 huge

»the Duke's fabulous wealth

  那位公爵的巨额财富

3.[only before noun] fabulous creatures, places etc are mentioned in traditional stories, but do not really exist神话寓言中的，传说中的

《哈利波特》we are the guardians of the fabulous treasures.我们是传说中财宝的守护者。

benefit

Benefit 在这里做可数名词，表示慈善活动，【例如】义赛 ，慈善音乐会可以翻译为 a benefit match concert ;此外，它还可以表示公司发的奖金；补贴，或者是政府提供的福利费。

throw

Throw多在口语里表示举办聚会的意思，直接说throw  a party,

补充:

1、在口语里也可以表示“使……心烦意乱；使困惑，使惊奇”【例如】the news of her death really threw me.她的噩耗确实震惊了我

2、throw 除了表示扔这一动作之外，还可表示“使陷入（某种状态）”且通常使用被动语态

【例如】：”这个问题引起人们的密切关注"可以翻译为The problem was suddenly  thrown into sharp focus.
