In poor taste: to be unacceptable in a way that will upset or anger people. Not suitable, unseemly, offensive. These idioms use taste in the sense of "discernment of what is appropriate." as in His criticism of the Pope was in poor taste, or That television interview was in very bad taste.
中文释义:In poor(bad/the worst possible) taste通常用来描述某人的言行不得体,不礼貌,不可直译为穷品味。例句:He made the joke in poor taste, but I don't really think he was trying to offend you.(他开了一个不得体的玩笑,但是我不觉得他就是想冒犯你。)另外,形容词poor也可以换成good,表示品位高的意思。
