美剧现代爱情分集英文评论
EP01英文评论:This episode is so good I have to open an account to write this. As a single woman in a big city, I can totally relate to Miss Mitchell's experience. I just love that this episode is not about romance. The friendship between the doorman and Miss Mitchell just feels so pure and genuine.
This 30 min long episode had me almost crying a few times. The script is witty and profound. I particularly remember the line "I was never looking at the guys, I was looking at your eyes." Sometimes we know if the person is right for you, we are just too scared to face it. Anyway, I am soooooo looking forward to the rest of the episodes and praying that there will be a season 2!
EP02英文评论:Excellent cast and compelling story about first loves. Catherine Keener is so wonderful. Dev Patel is also great. A middle-aged journalist interviews a young entrepreneur and their stories dovetail in a meaningful way. Roads taken, roads not taken. A+
Don't miss it. You can almost touch and breathe the love atmosphere that Dev Patel creates while telling his tale. He has grown up to keep evolving the giant actor he already was at "Slumdog...". Fantastic performance of all the 4 characters. The chemistry between them is amazing. Would love to see more of Julie & Michael's story, seems much more complex, it would worth a whole episode.
EP03英文评论:What a beautiful and raw performance from Anne Hathaway. Had me in tears. And the poignant moment between her character and her coworker--INCREDIBLE! I've known people with bipolar, have a brother with it and it's not pretty or fun to watch and recognize when the episodes are coming. This was not overly done, not overly glib, just right.
Mental illness is often, tragically, ignored because of the stigma that goes with it. Another brilliant performance by the beautiful Anne. Thank you for being so transparent and honest. I'm officially hooked on this show. Wow!
EP04英文评论:It's just the main couple fighting the whole time, they clearly despise one another. I don't get what the ending was supposed to mean. I admire Tina Fey for a long time. The performance she gave was absurdly good. However, this episode was the weakest until now.
This one falls flat due the thickness of marriage theme. I believe Tina Fey failed to convey her frustrations through her facial expressions, like she was stucked in her likable smiles and hopeful aura which lessened her character impacts. John Slattery, however, nails it. He has a more frozen face, but he uses his body and eyes language so well that I can see the changes in his character moods.
EP05英文评论:Well, this one certainly inspired by Before Sunset and After Sunrise. However, this one is so unique that it stood out in the series for me personally. Becoming a couple is about being with someone who wants to be with you, however different they are.
The conversation and pace were so calm, that the deep cut on Rob's arm seemed like a paper cut. Interesting is the whole event was on IG as a live play with multiple acts. Hope the whole event was not an imagination by Rob, who just moved into a tiny apartment in NYC ...
EP06英文评论:So this was confusing for me in the sense that I didn't know how to feel about it. And I suppose that's what the female character feels so that makes sense. She is someone who doesn't have a dad and yearns for the unconditional love and acceptance that dads give. She is young and trying to understand these feelings. Good acting!
this was a standout performance by Julia Garner. It shows her versatility, taking a step away from rebellious Ruth and stepping into a softer, gentler role. This episode was extremely uncomfortable to watch, and with any other actress I may have given it a lower score, but because of her amazing acting ability, anything lower than 7 stars would be insulting.
EP07英文评论:First of all, props to John Carney for an excellent script and incredible directing. I just loved the dialogue. Second of all, the Hot Priest is in this!!! Andrew Scott, who I last saw in Phoebe Waller-Smith's brilliant Fleabag, plays one man of a gay couple. And he's so good. I could watch this guy in anything. Everyone in this cast knocks it out of the park. No pun intended.
This is a 30 minute feel good yet emotional journey with two guys wanting to start a family. Andrew Scott yet again shows his immense talent at playing another totally different role to how we have seen him before. Heartwarming, sweet and emotional, it's a great watch with a mug of tea and your favourite biscuits to give you the warm fuzzies!
EP08英文评论:It's an old love story that becomes a pure love. This one is a tear-jerker. Also the final few minutes slightly intersected all of the stories which was cool!! Let alone the surprise summary/missing pieces of all 8 episodes.
This was a sweet older love story about finding love later in life. It was really endearing. Overall, great series.. love the change from Marvel, cop dramas, fbi shows, action, etc. This series was about life and how love comes in many forms. hoping for season 2!
