来自拉丁语 servire，“服务；服侍”

单词释义（普通英语）

1.to help a customer or sell them sth in a shop/store v. 接待；服务

2.to provide an area or a group of people with a product or service  v. （向某地或某一群体）供应，提供

3.to be useful to sb in achieving or satisfying sth  v. 对……有用；能满足……的需要

4.to work or perform duties for a person, an organization, a country, etc.  v. （为……）工作，服务，履行义务，尽职责

5.to start playing by throwing the ball into the air and hitting it  v. 发（球）

to give or send sb an official document, especially one that orders them to appear in court  v.  送交（令状/传票）

For all filings before the Immigration Court, a party must provide or “serve” an identical copy on the opposing party.
