Thank you very much for your valuable thoughts and inspiring ideas, I've just read through all the content you put together, and I like the way how you break the unreachable down into little available chunks, you also mentioned a theory of selecting movies based on how much percentage we're able to comprehend, which is something quite insightful and presentable. It surely enlightened us where to start and when to stop.

I have to say that you truly understand how to weigh up the balance and steer the ship to the direction that has been set. Apart from that, you somehow managed to make adjustments accordingly to allow yourself stay on the right track, you showed us tips on how to set out the agenda and fine-tune the rhythm along the way of our learning journey.

As I said before, the most difficult thing about learning a foreign language is STAYING MOTIVATED.

Is it said that the well-fed don't know how the starving suffer. Some experts rush to conclusion without identifying the current level and status quo of the audience, some scholars can't see the forrest for the trees, they rough in judgement, peddling a theory that watching movies without subtitles is a practical way of learning English. The truth is, they're blowing this method out of proportion, what they didn't count on is that, without proper training, this method could kill the passion of beginers in its infancy.

Take me for example, I would dare to say that my current english capability is approximately up to Diomand level given that Liuxin is the master. LOL, If you haven't got the idea, let me give you a hint:now we're talking about a tencent game by the name of 《Arena of Valor》.

Truth to be told, the only TV-series that I tried to watch without subtitles is 《Desperate Hosuewives》, if you ask me to watch other Tv-shows, let's say 《Friends》, I'm not sure if I can put up with it for just one season.

According to some of the surveies that I had conducted in wechat group, the scenario is like this: I thrown a 5 minutes plus clip without subtitles into the group, followed along with 3-5 questions attached to it. Meanwhile, I followed the same step but embeded English subtitles to the clip and thrown it to a different group, afterwards, I encouraged members of the group to work with it. As I expected, feedbacks of respondents indicates that movie clips without subtitles have much stronger tendency to cause frustration. Believe it or not, watching TV-shows with subtitles is more likely to cater to the majority of the learners.

So, when it comes to the choice of taking advantage of subtitles, As far as I'm concerned, there's is no solid envidence showing or suggesting which one is more effective.
