Okay, so, let me summarise why we choose Desperate Housewives.
one, main actors all speak standard English, and they have a precise tone.
I speak with an American tone with no slang
so, that's why I'm understood all the time.
Okay, No.2, the TV Drama is designed to appeal to the majority of the people
especially the Middle-class and white-collar families.
Meaning, they're basically, this show is good for everybody.
It's good for the Middle-class, it's good for the white-collar class
You get both examples in the show, like Gabrielle and her husband, Carlos.
That's...that would be a White-color family, you know
And most of the other actors are middle class, okay.
Uh, No.3, Each episode contains sufficient daily conversation dialogues
in regards to different occasions.
Different occasions, different holidays,
different emotions, like I said before.
The Narrator explains some deep understanding of life’s philosophy in each episode
which are very inspirational to us to form a sophisticated sentence.
You're gonna learn to speak properly, not only you're gonna learn to speak properly
but you're gonna learn more sophisticated words, right?
to speak intelligently, to speak at college level, to speak at business level.
No.4, excuse me, No.5, Each actor/actress has a distinctive life-style
that enables us to see different ways of living standards and personal characters.
Like I said before, you're gonna be able to relate
to the different life styles of the people.
You're gonna say, oh! that what I do, you know.
Let's what... Oh, my kid is like that too
My husband did that once to me, Something like that,
So, you're gonna be able to relate to the TV-show with your own life.

especially the creative director Marc Cherry is a very talented writer.
This guy is excellent at writting this show
he really gets you involved into the show, you know.
It's like the old-fashioned soap opera that we used to have in US
once you start to looking at it, you can stop,
you have to find out what happens, and that what makes this fun.
You can talk to other people about it, to the other students involved in this
You can talk to the other foreign teachers that involved in this
And you can get a dialogue what's gonna to help you to learn English
to improve your English.
What's our objectives you might ask, okay, our objectives are easy.
To better facilitate student learning in areas of speaking and listening.
You're gonna be able to listen better, you're gonna be able to speak better
pronunciation, the phonics, you know, you're goona learn slang language
You're gonna learn idioms, so, you gonna learn all around English.
No.2, offer a cheerful envirnment for people who have common interests.
You're gonna watch the show, other people gonna watch the show
You can get involved with other students
You can get involved with the teachers who've watched the show,
and who like the show. So, we got our own little group.
