We use this expression to introduce something different from what is normal. Example: We usually go to Cyprus on holiday but this year we’ve decided to stay at home for a change.
中文释义：你某天突然想不按惯例来点变化，就可用for a change（换换口味）表示。例句：My kids always pack lunch for school. I ask them to buy lunch for a change.（孩子老是从家带饭，我叫他们买饭试试。）另外引申一个和change有关的短语，只不过在这里它作为名词出现：Keep the change。change做名词时，除了“ 变化”还有“零钱”的意思，在这个短语中便是“零钱”的意思。"Keep the change."的意思是：（零钱）不用找了。
