What's Eating You: Used to ask someone what's bothering them. When something is eating at you, it is consuming your thoughts, time, and energy. It makes you depressed and you suffer from it. This phrase is asking someone who looks depressed why they are not happy.


中文释义:What's Eating You:什么事让你不开心了?有什么烦心事吗?eat在这里不是”吃“的意思,而是”使困扰;使不开心。“ What's eating you?是个很常见到的俚语。当你觉得某个人好像为某事所困扰, 以致整个人不大对劲, 就可以用这句话来问他, 到底发生什么事了。相当于"What's bothering you?""What is troubling you?"。
